Privacy Policy

Overview

MoonStory provides free tools to help improve dashboard and data visualization design. This page describes what data we collect, how it is processed, and which third parties are involved. We take the protection of your personal data seriously and only collect what we need to run the tools you use.

Data We Collect

Waitlist and feedback: when you sign up for the waitlist, subscribe to the blog, or send feedback, we collect the email address (and, optionally, name) you provide, along with the tool or page the message was sent from. This is used to reply to you and to notify you about launches and updates.

Accounts (optional): if you choose to create an account, we store your email address, an encrypted password (managed by our auth provider), and a display name if you set one. Accounts are not required to use the free tools.

Technical logs: when you visit the site, basic technical information (IP address, browser type, pages accessed) may be processed automatically by our hosting infrastructure to ensure stability and security. We do not run analytics or tracking cookies.

Use of the Tools

Content you enter into the tools is processed to generate recommendations. Please avoid uploading screenshots or information containing confidential or sensitive data.

AI-powered features (Accessibility Checker): when you upload a dashboard screenshot for AI analysis, the image is sent to Google Gemini through our cloud infrastructure (Lovable Cloud, powered by Supabase) for processing. Google acts as a subprocessor. The image itself is not retained on our servers after the response is returned. Google may process the image under its own data-handling terms; per its API terms, prompts and outputs submitted to the Gemini API are not used to train Google's models.

Saved reports (library): if you are signed in when you run an AI accessibility scan, we save a small thumbnail derived from your screenshot along with the AI results (score, summary, issues, strengths) to your account so you can revisit them in your library. These records are private to your account, protected by row-level security, and can be deleted at any time from the library or by deleting your account.

Saved layouts, icon presets, and favorites: when you are signed in, layouts you save in the Layout Builder and icons/presets you save in Icon Studio are stored in your account on Lovable Cloud so you can access them from any device. If you are not signed in, this content stays in your browser's local storage and is lost when you clear browser data. Account-stored items are private to your account, protected by row-level security, and can be deleted at any time from within each tool or by deleting your account.

Data Storage & Retention

Account data, waitlist and feedback submissions, saved accessibility reports, saved layouts, and saved icon presets/favorites are stored on Lovable Cloud infrastructure (hosted in the EU by Supabase) with industry-standard security measures.

Uploaded images sent for AI analysis are not stored by us and are discarded once the AI response is returned. Saved reports, layouts, and icon presets/favorites are retained until you delete them or delete your account. Waitlist and feedback entries are retained until you ask us to remove them.

Service Providers

We rely on the following service providers to run the site and its tools:

• Lovable Cloud (built on Supabase): hosting, database, authentication, edge functions, and email delivery (which Lovable operates through its own downstream email provider).
• Google (Gemini API): AI analysis of screenshots you upload to the Accessibility Checker.
• Paddle: payment processing for premium subscriptions, acting as merchant of record. Paddle collects only the billing details required to process the transaction.

Cookies

This website uses only technically necessary cookies and browser storage (for example, to keep you signed in, remember your theme preference, or store layouts you save locally). No tracking or advertising cookies are used.

Your Rights
